Barwite Vineyards was established in the late 1990’s about 10km north east of Mansfield in the Victorian High Country. We chose grape varieties with the express purpose of supplying high quality cool climate grapes to some of Australians greatest labels.. However, as this area has a reputation for producing some of the finest aromatic wines in Australia so we also planted 4.5 ha of Riesling vines,  the king of the aromatic varieties.

Since 2006 our wines have been made by carefully selected winemakers who specialise in a given style or variety and we've expanded the range from simply a great Riesling to an elegant Pinot noir and a distinctive Chardonnay. All the wines have the renowned structure of the region and the terroir of Barwite vineyards offers uncompromised fruit characteristics and are delicious when young but also age extremely well. We enter wine shows on a regular basis and every wine we've entered has won a medal - no mean feat!"

The new owners of Barwite Vineyard are keen to further develop the quality of the Barwite range and a key focus moving forward will be a quality blend of the old world art of winemaking combined with new world technology and sustainability through a 5 year vineyard enhancement plan.
