BARWITE LATE PICKED RIESLING 2015

A pleasingly fresh short to medium term riesling whose floral and slightly candied aromas of lime juice, minerals, citrus blossoms and apple precede a luscious juicy and tangy palate of citrusy flavour, texture and viscosity. It finishes with a zesty lime juice acidity.

BARWITE CHARDONNAY 2015

Harvested by hand early in this warmer year, the fruit was crushed to small vessels to settle before fermenting the clear juice, in 20% new oak French puncheons and 10% seasoned French oak barriques. After ferment it was left on lees for 6 weeks, which has increased the complexity and contributed spice and texture to the palate. A lovely, fleshy wine with aromas and flavours of honeydew melon, ripe nectarine and white flowers, balanced with tangy acidity, it will reward cellaring for up to 5 years. 13% alc/vol

BARWITE PINOT NOIR 2017

After hand picking in early April 2017, the fruit was fermented in small open tubs for 10 days, pressed off skins and the wine was then transferred into 2 and 3 year old French oak barriques. Matured for 12 months in barrel, the plum and spice characters of the fruit are rounded out by the oak tones and soft tannins. 13.8% alc/vol

BARWITE PINOT NOIR 2015

A long gentle pinot noir likely to develop genuine depth and power over time. Made from estate grown grapes, handpicked at optimum ripeness for this fruit driven style. Burgundy red in colour, the wine has earthy aromas with a hint of French oak. Cherry and forest berry fruits on the palate linger with some young tannins that will soften with careful cellaring up to 8 years.

BARWITE CABERNET MERLOT 2014

Hand-picked from vines grown at Mansfield, the beautifully ripe Merlot and intensely flavoured Cabernet Sauvignon fruit has produced a stylish wine showing the vibrant colour and characters of blackberry, cassis and blood plums. Maturation in new and seasoned French oak barriques for 10 months contributed spice, vanillin and soft, fine-grained tannins to the richness of the fruit and three years in bottle has integrated all these flavours, forming a tasty example of a supple, great-drinking Cabernet/Merlot. This full- flavoured and complex wine will develop further with careful cellaring for up to 10 years.
